For the fifth time divers met in Gdynia for the Eco Diving Day action. The event took place on 12.10.2013 in the Yacht Port of Gdynia. This year, a record number of 152 divers took part in the underwater cleaning.

Due to the strong wind which prevented the boat with the divers from leaving, we were forced to narrow the area down to the marina itself. However, the effects of less than an hour of diving were still spectacular. A lot of rubbish was taken out, including a wicker chair, a shopping trolley, a buoy, tyres, a bathtub, a sail, boat trolleys, tyres and, traditionally, a lot of bottles and cans.

Apart from the President of Gdynia Wojciech Szczurek, the honorary patronage was assumed by the Commander of the Polish Navy Admiral Tomasz Mathea. We were supported by the divers of the Polish Navy from the Diving and Diving Training Centre and a special unit of FORMOZA.

Diving companies Santi and No Gravity made warmers and dry suits available for testing. Others, such as Mola Mola, Apollo Polska, VDS system organised their stands. Thanks to many sponsors, divers could count on a warm meal, souvenir T-shirts and prize draws. We would like to thank all the participants of the action.
