A surprising discovery was made between the islands of the Azores archipelago. At the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean a huge object resembling a pyramid was found. The top of the pyramid is located at a depth of 40m, while the whole is 60m high and the base occupies an area of 8000 m².

The underwater pyramid was discovered by a local fisherman in September this year during one of his expeditions. The find is located between the Portuguese islands of Sao Miguel and Teceira. As the finder himself explained, making the discovery was possible thanks to the sonar mounted in his boat.

The fisherman-discoverer is convinced that his find has a perfectly square shape and, according to him, is the work of human hands. Letting his imagination run wild, he sets his sights on the mythical Atlantis. As is commonly known from the legends about this mythical place, it was supposed to be destroyed by earthquakes and swallowed by the ocean.

Much more sceptical than the discoverer himself are representatives of the Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries from the nearby University of the Azores. Officials at the university have announced that they have begun examining the find, but they are far from floating theories about it belonging to the mythical Atlantis. They are being assisted in the study of the object by an army naval unit deployed for the purpose.

A discussion has already broken out among Internet users from all over the world. Some of them downplay the case, seeing it as mystification and an attempt to make a name for themselves on television, while others seek conspiracy theories. The latter cite the lack of wider interest from mainstream media and the fact that the site has been investigated many times in the past and could not have escaped the attention of researchers.

Many films and video presentations have been created, which the authors will post on popular video sites. The pyramid itself has its own websitewhere its authors publish references to all the new news, bring you up to date with the latest news about the Azores, and post information about similar sites.

It remains for us to wait patiently for the results of the forthcoming surveys, which, given the fairly accessible depth, should not take too long.
