On Saturday, February 25, participants of the Third Lodz Wreck Diving Festival, in addition to lectures, could participate in practical workshops conducted by specialists in various fields. This was a great opportunity for anyone who wanted to expand their information on a given topic, or dispel doubts by asking questions to the instructor. It was clear from the turnout at each meeting that the workshops were a good idea.

The first class in the small hall was conducted by Łukasz Piórewicz, from the Diving Technology Centre. This experienced technical diver and participant in many expeditions, presented to the audience issues oscillating around the topic “Equipment innovations in wreck diving”.

After Łukasz, Marcin Trzciński took over the room, which could only mean one thing – time for taking pictures. Marcin travels the world with his camera in hand, capturing images from all the bodies of water in which he has to dive. He presented the secrets of photographing shipwrecks to the numerous listeners.

“Heating in diving – benefits and risks” – this is the topic of Tomasz Stachura from Santi Diving, which in its offer has a very rich list of products to ensure divers the right temperature underwater. From classic warmers such as BZ200, to the latest release – electric heated warmer. Tomek, as a technical diver with extensive experience, like no one else was able to analyse and present the impact of proper thermals on the course and improvement of our diving.

The stakes were closed by Sebastian Długi with Sidemount Sustem. This configuration, which is gaining more and more popularity, attracts crowds. Everyone wants to know as much as possible about it, and this is the knowledge that Sebastian provided in his presentation – All about Sidemount according to Bogaerthian.

Unfortunately the meeting Poseidon – Everything you need to know to start your rebreather adventure did not take place. Those who attended the previous workshops, however, will certainly be satisfied. Both the conduct and the content were at a very high level.
