Sean McGahern has broken his own record for the amount of time spent diving in cold water. The new result, which is also a world record, is 12h 34min and is a whole 48min better than the previous result!

The attempt took place in water with a temperature of 14-15°C. Afterwards, the diver himself said that the record attempt went smoothly and he even managed to take a 45-minute nap! In addition, during his stay underwater, the record holder and a group of divers securing the attempt decided to clean the bottom in St. George’s Bay. The result was an almost full trailer of plastic and glass bottles and 20 car tyres!

The results of the trial have already been sent to London’s Guinness World Office. An official response is expected within a month.
