Underwater Adventure and Wreck Festival - details

We are already on the last straight before two interesting events – 9-10.02 Podwodna Przygoda diving fair in Warsaw and 16.02 Lodz Wreck Diving Festival. We already know the detailed plans prepared by the organizers of both events.

At Nurgres, i.e. the diving congress accompanying each edition of the diving fair “Podwodna Przygoda”, this year, as many as three record holders will appear! Elżbieta Benducka – the Polish record-holder in women’s deep diving, Krzysztof Starnawski – the world record-holder in closed circuit deep diving, and Kamil Iwankiewicz – the world record-holder in high-altitude diving. In Łódź the presentations in the main hall will be given by Leigh Bishop “Zaginione Żaglowce”, dr hab. Waldemar Ossowski “Archaeological research of wrecks in the foreground of the port of Gdansk”, Tomek Stachura “Mars expedition 2011”, Wojciech Jechna “U-768 history, exploration, finding and the first exploration”, Danijel Frka “Treasures of the Adriatic”, Sławomir Makaruk “Chasing Dreams”, Marcin Jamkowski “Sierra 2012”, Mario Weldner “Wreck diving in the early 90s in the North Channel”. The festival will conclude with the second lecture by Leigh Bishop, “Seen through the eye and through the lens – two decades of deep wreck exploration – triumph and tragedy”.A detailed festival schedule can be found here.
