“We’re on the pier again. Not very far from the shore three blue buoys are floating. As we learn from our mermaid instructors at the other end of the rope to which the buoy is tied, at the bottom of the lake, yes 6-8 meters, there are platforms. We will go down in such a way as to touch the platforms. I think quickly: “6-8 metres would be twice as high as my flat”…. jaw down!

Ok, well if our instructors believe in us so much, we can trust them. I was a little nervous about the depth, but the whole situation was eased by putting on weight and rolling out. At first I got a little drowned, because it turned out that the 6kg advised by a man from a Warsaw equipment rental company was too much. Haloooo please sir, 3kg was enough for me!!!

We put 3kg on the belt and swam to the buoys. Earlier the girls explained to us how to equalize the pressure, we practiced the jackknife. More or less ready, we start our attempts.Divided into groups, each one tries to go down individually. Me, Magda and a couple more girls are together in one group. Ola is protecting us. With each new attempt, Ola goes down with each of us. It helps to relax, because I was a bit stressed.”
