A new film of possible interest to the diving community has just hit the shelves. It is an investigative documentary “Ben’s Vortex”. The plot revolves around the mysterious disappearance of a young cave diver exploring the Vortex Springs cave in Florida.

To this day it is not known what happened to Ben. Was there an accident? A deliberate act of someone? Or maybe everything is a big mystification? These are the questions the filmmakers are trying to answer, as the family, the investigating police and the diving community disagree on many things.

The film was directed by none other than Jill Heinerth, for whom the Florida caves are her daily work environment. Together with Jill, the viewer will have the opportunity to see many wonderful caves hidden in the clear waters of Florida. Don’t be fooled though, without training and proper preparation, any of these sites are deadly.
