We are pleased to announce the introduction of the long-awaited ASTD organisation to the Polish diving training market. The founders of ASTD are David Cani and David Scoumal, not only long-time leaders of IANTD, but also great cave divers leading, among others, the project in Hranicka Proposti.

In Poland, the representatives of ASTD are Adam Pawlik – one of two Poles who have dived in a cave below 200 metres, a long-time full tmx instructor and trainer, with many explorations of deep caves to his credit, and Grzegorz Rutkowski a cave diver with vast experience, heavily involved in projects such as the Hranicka Propast or the “World Record in Closed Circuit Diving” and many others.

As you can see, the organisation has deep roots in cave diving, which as you might expect will have a huge impact on the attention paid to safety procedures.

ASTD Poland leaders are already inviting instructors to join them to build a new brand in our market. Cross until the end of 2015 is free of charge. Address of the organization www.astd.com.pl

ASTD (Association of Sport and Technical Divers) was founded in 2012. It was not one particular day, but rather a period of time when the idea of creating an organisation whose motto would be training and development of diving and flexibility in promoting new trends was maturing. The founders of ASTD are two friends, David Cani, the main coordinator of the Hranicka Propast project, David Scoumal, a keen cave diver and instructor, and a prominent diving doctor with extensive experience, who have been active in the diving world since their early youth, i.e. for more than 30 years. During this time they have trained hundreds of divers, instructors and trainers.

Using their previous experience in CMAS – the Presidium of the Association of Moravian and Silesian Divers, in the committee and subcommittee for medical technical diving, as well as in the Central European management of IANTD, they decided to set up their own diving organisation.

This decision was prompted by their many years of experience in previous organisations and in their own projects, and their desire to pass on knowledge at the highest level.

Based on this experience they have created their own training materials. They are authors of many diving books and manuals, training procedures and translations. They have published many articles in diving magazines. Through their work and training in other diving organisations, they have managed not only to influence trends in diver training, but also to break through many limitations.

In Poland, the representatives of ASTD are Adam Pawlik – one of two Poles who have dived in a cave below 200 meters, a long-time full tmx instructor and coach, with many explorations of deep caves to his credit, and Grzegorz Rutkowski a cave diver with vast experience, heavily involved in projects such as the Hranicka Propast. World Record in closed circuit diving and many others.
