One of the attractions of Lake Hancza, located in the Suwalszczyzna region, are old sunken boats called “dlubanky”. They are hollowed out of tree trunks and can be found at the bottom at a depth of about 32m. Exactly, are they really there?
I often meet divers, who have had the opportunity to dive on the Hancza river and, despite strenuous attempts, have not found the location with the dugongs. This resulted in a theory that they are just a figment of the diver’s imagination in a state of nitrogen narcosis.
The film-trailer below, made by Piotr Kardasz, will hopefully dispel any doubts and encourage you to search more effectively.
