Recently we informed you that on 25 February 2012 the legend of the wreck diving world, Richie Kohler, will appear at the 3rd Wreck Festival in Lodz. At the III Wreck Festival in Lodz, a legend of the diving world, a searcher and explorer of wrecks – Richie Kohler – will appear. Today, we can already tell you what his lectures will be about!

As reported to us by our friends Piotr Wytykowski and Romek Zajder, Richie has prepared two themes:


In pursuit of the shadow”


In 1991, off the coast of New Jersey, a team of divers discovers and explores a hitherto unknown wreck. A German U-boat – a riddle whose mystery the German and American governments have not been able to explain. Nor has any historian or expert been able to do so. This task was undertaken by a group of divers, led by Richie Kohler and John Chatterton. This undertaking has cost six long years of work and the lives of three divers. In the end, it was possible to identify the digits at the mysterious U…


“Titanic: Lost remains”


One of the greatest, and certainly most famous wreck in modern history – the RMS Titanic. Nearly a century has passed Almost a century has passed since the unprecedented disaster, and the dream ship that sank on its maiden voyage continues to captivate the imagination and arouse human curiosity. In 2005, an expedition led by Richie Kohler and John Chatterton, made up of some of the best experts in their fields, cast new eyes on the wreck. A series of dives to a depth of 3,800m, made with the MIR bathyscaphe, brought startling new evidence of what really happened on that fateful night of 15 April 1912…
