The result? 1.5 tonnes of rubbish was hauled away. Among the pile, the most interesting specimens were: a laptop, a camera, mobile phones, a street lamp, a satellite dish oram plenty of cans, bottles and tyres. It is comforting to note that the number of rubbish has decreased quite significantly since last year.

During the action there was a fete for children organised by GOSIR. Additional attractions were provided by the stands of: Gdynia Aquarium, the University of Gdansk, the Navy, the Fire Brigade and companies accompanying and partnering the event. Outside the diving climate one could admire the exhibited ecological cars and fast Ducati motorbikes.

As every year, participants could enjoy a hot meal, souvenir T-shirts and a draw for attractive prizes. Among the sponsors there were diving companies that have been supporting Eco Diving Day for years: Ocean Pro, Amber-Divecenter, Nautica, Santi, Technika Podwodna, as well as those that joined the stake this year: No Gravity and Camaro.

The organisers of the Eco Diving Day event were the “Ticada” Diving and Active Tourism Centre and the Gdynia Sport and Recreation Centre.
