In one of the biggest resorts in Egypt – Hurghada, an interesting event will take place in a month and a half. A total of 400 divers will go under the water, who have set themselves the goal of cleaning up all kinds of rubbish and thus improving the condition of this popular diving location.

If everything goes according to plan, a new Guinness record will be set in addition to the worthy cause of the clean-up. On homepage event we can find information that each participant of the event will receive a personal certificate confirming participation in the record breaking. The organiser and face of the whole event is Ahmed Gabr – the holder of the world record for the deepest open-circuit dive.

For decades, the Red Sea has been enjoying the charms of underwater tourists. Unfortunately, the crowds of visitors and lack of proper education have caused the marine fauna and flora to be seriously degraded. It is therefore encouraging to hear that someone has finally decided to publicise the issue and take action in the right direction.
