PADI, the world’s largest diver training organisation, and DAN Europe, the diving industry’s largest safety association, announced a partnership on 7 December. Now PADI members training with the organisation can benefit from a special offer of professional liability insurance.

The new insurance option will be valid for a whole year. As part of the package, we will receive professional indemnity and personal liability insurance, with cover up to €4 million . We will also get access to the well-known DAN 24/7 multilingual telephone line, as well as care in case of hyperbaric treatment and issues related to returning to the country. In addition, the insurance also covers non-diving incidents, such as those occurring while travelling.

DAN will offer PADI Professional members the Pro Silver package at the price of Bronze. A special additional DAN insurance policy for diving accidents involving students taking PADI courses will cover PADI Discover Scuba Diving, PADI Open Water, PADI Advanced Open Water, Basic Freediver, Freediver and Advanced Freediver courses.

The insurance also guarantees access to specialised advisory services offered by DAN’s legal network, made up of many experts and lawyers with expertise in diving accidents.
