For those following the market for diving-related technological innovations, the iBubble underwater drone is nothing new. The device appeared a few years ago as the subject of a crowdfunding campaign.

Over the past two years, the funds raised have enabled changes to be made to the original design, and now the creators have announced that the iBubble is going into mass production.

The final version of the iBubble will be produced in a factory in Joinville in eastern France. It will probably take some time before the first units appear on the market, but it is good to see that another interesting device has managed to enter the market thanks to the support of people from all over the world who believed in the project.

The difference between ROV robots and underwater drones is primarily the control and steering of the device. Underwater drones are able to move more freely underwater as no cable connects them to the operator.

The iBubble is a prime example. All thanks to its patented underwater location technology. The iBubble follows the subject and films the entire session without the user having to do anything. You can fully concentrate on diving and enjoying the beauty of the underwater world, while the drone equipped with a camera and lighting captures every moment.
