The novelty from the American brand Hollis – Katana 2 sidemount harness already available in Poland! It is definitely a model worth considering if we think about conducting dives in side configuration. After closer examination and getting acquainted with it during the last edition of Baltictech, I have to admit that it made a very positive impression.

The Katana 2 is a low-profile and modular BCD, featuring an extremely streamlined design that is characterised by exceptional minimalism and thus reveals its true exploratory nature at first glance. Undoubtedly a huge plus of the new Hollis harness is its versatility and adaptability. And it is multidimensional! The Katana 2, apart from the fact that it can be personalised for the configuration of interest, e.g. with steel or aluminium cylinders, or open or closed circuit, additionally has only one universal size, which can be adapted to the specific user very quickly.

The producer also assures that Katana 2 is a harness dedicated and created with sidemount technical divers in mind and being an answer to their needs, but at the same time it is a great choice for people just starting their adventure with diving in the side configuration. We won’t tell you about how the Hollis Katana 2 performs underwater in combat conditions, but we’re already looking forward to getting our hands on it and taking it for a solid portion of testing!
