During the last edition of the BalticTech conference and fair, Santi Diving presented several premiere products. One of them is a double hood especially created for diving in extremely cold waters .

The designers at Santi decided to meet the expectations of divers who spend long periods of time in extremely cold waters, and created an alternative to wearing two hoods at once.

To ensure maximum thermal comfort, the new hood consists of two bonded layers of neoprene. Increased thermal comfort, however, brings with it reduced user comfort. Fortunately, this shortcoming has also been eliminated.

The hood was sewn from neoprene of different thicknesses, in different places. In the jaw area, a thinner and more flexible 5mm neoprene was used. On the face seal, 7mm thick neoprene was used, and in the rest of the area, 2 times 5mm thick neoprene was used. The face opening left is very small, but can be adjusted to suit your needs. For ease of dressing the hood has been fitted with a zip at the back, on the outer layer of neoprene.

The new product is available in two versions, long and short. The first one is intended for those diving with a latex orifice, the second one for those who use a neoprene orifice.

The idea of combining two hoods seems interesting, especially if dressing it is not difficult. However, in order to actually be able to judge it, we can only wait for the first tests and opinions.

The price of a new hood is 290 PLN.
