Diving gift for everyone

Not long ago, we were all still enjoying the diving season, and now December is already in full swing. Christmas is coming soon and among all the commotion, everyone wants to find the right present for their loved ones.

That’s why, to answer the question – “what to gift your nearest and dearest diver”, the Divers24 team have decided to prepare you a list which may prove helpful, no matter who the recipient is or what your budget is.

1. ice screw

We start with a set of screws for ice diving. A gift that no diver, who appreciates diving in these beautiful and specific conditions created by the cold winter, will disdain. At the same time it is a gift which does not burden our pockets too much, while its value can be invaluable. Reaching back to last winter, when strong, big frosts came after a few relatively weak winters, it was a very scarce commodity and much desired by every diver.

2. diving reel

For all those who want to give something more specific to their underwater fanatic, we recommend a reel. An element of equipment useful especially in winter, but not only. When choosing the right one you should be guided by its size and the material it is made of. If we want to “supply” someone with this equipment we have to reckon with the expense of 350-650 PLN. However, the value of a good reel cannot be converted into any currency.

3. specialisation course

If the person for whom we want to find the right gift is interested in ice diving, but knows it only from theory, it is worth considering a gift in the form of an appropriate specialisation. This could be a dry suit course, or an ice diving specialisation. The cost is similar, and the theory and practice acquired during the course are essential and invaluable under water. This pleasure is in the price range – 350-450pln.

4. thermo-active underwear

A set of thermo-active underwear is a great addition to any diving gear, not just that for ice diving. Dry suit and warmer, provide comfort even in the most severe conditions, but this does not mean that we can not improve our situation even more. A set consisting of a sweatshirt, gaiters, gloves and socks can greatly enhance the enjoyment of many dives, not only winter ones. The full set we are talking about costs around 500-550 PLN.

5. suit heating

If you have the right budget and want to give someone a gift that will knock their socks off, it’s worth considering the strongly developing technical novelty, which is a dive heater. Every owner of a dry suit will welcome this type of “upgrade” with open arms, because after all, who among us does not like to feel comfortable in even the worst conditions?

6. dry suit

If our gift is to be special and we want it to be remembered by the recipient for many years, then a dry suit seems to be the right choice. Something, which until recently characterised the diving elite, and today is slowly becoming a standard. The price difference in this case is so big that it is hard to put it into any framework. However, it is worth paying attention to what materials the suit is made of, as it mainly determines the price.

7. Diving trip

Finally, we have left something that will be an ideal gift for all those who do not appreciate diving in our cold waters. In such a situation, a trip to Egypt seems to be an ideal solution. No matter which place we choose, one thing is certain – the temperature. For everyone, who tries to avoid contact with icy water, this type of gift will be just right. Whether it is Hurghada, Sharm El Sheik, Marsa Alam or Dahab, it does not matter much. Rest in the land of the pharaohs, for everyone will be an unforgettable experience, regardless of location.
