The Spanish press reported that rescuers found the missing diver in excellent condition. After receiving the report, rescue services began the entire operation at around 4:30 p.m. From the information available, it appeared that the missing cave diver was a veteran with extensive experience in exploring flooded caves. Rescuers immediately set out to comb the corridors of the Cueva de sa Gleda cave.

They came upon Miquel Perelló about a kilometer from the cave entrance. The man had very little gas in his cylinders. Staying in a dry chamber filled with air was the only chance for rescue. Fortunately, experienced rescuers reacted promptly and arrived in time to save the missing speleonur.

Missing cave diver found safe and sound!

Rescuers began diving into the cave at around 8 p.m. The two-man team headed toward a section about an hour and a half from the entrance, where the dry air chambers are located. Perelló knew the room and his colleagues believed he might be there. Fortunately, all ended well. Experienced rescuers reached the wanted diver and together they returned to the surface.

Two other divers also participated in the exploration during which Miquela Perelló went missing. Among them was Xisco Gràcia, who once found himself in a similar situation and spent more than 60 hours trapped in the cave. This time, together with another diver from Italy, they reached the exit happily, although they had serious difficulties due to visibility problems.
