A new V97 firmware update for Shearwater dive computers is now available

Manufacturer of Shearwater dive computers has announced the release of its latest firmware update, V97.

Shearwater Research, which is known for its highly detailed and reliable dive computers has released the latest firmware update. The V97 version applies to the Petrel 3, Petrel 2 and NERD 2 models.

The manufacturer has indicated that, due to differences in individual models, not all features are available on all units.

Changes introduced by the V97 update

For DiveCAN controller models with a liability screen, when the computer is automatically turned on by detection of water, the liability screen is now bypassed.
