The world’s largest dive equipment trade show, the DEMA Show, which was due to take place in New Orleans in November 2020, will not take place for the first time in its 20-year history. Organisers have announced that the event has been cancelled due to the lingering effects of the COVID-19 virus pandemic.

The DEMA Board of Directors has determined that for safety reasons and due to the unstable economic situation, the best option is to cancel the fall edition of the show. It was also reported that the next edition of the DEMA Show will be held from 16-19 November 2021 in Las Vegas.

In a statement, a spokesperson for the show said that while dive industry representatives and site visitors will not be able to gather in person to attend the November 2020 edition of the DEMA Show, the organisers intend to connect with the dive community in a unique and highly creative way in September 2020.

For now, details are shrouded in mystery, but we are expected to be informed of everything in the coming weeks.
