Deepspot – work is in full swing!

The construction of the swimming pool in Mszczonów is progressing according to plan and the whole construction is starting to take shape. In recent days some photos have appeared in social media showing the progress of the construction and there is no denying that everything looks very promising!

Until recently we could envy other European countries such magnificent facilities as NEMO33 located near Brussels or the Italian Y-40 pool, which are the destination of frequent excursions of divers and freedivers from all over the world. They offer great infrastructure and are tailored to the needs of the underwater brotherhood from start to finish, like a tailor-made dry suit.

No wonder that in a country in the heart of Europe, with a thriving diving community, someone had the idea to create a similar facility. With a maximum depth of 45 metres, the pool in Mszczonów, located 50 km from Warsaw, has a chance to take over from the Italian Y-40 (42 m) as the deepest pool in the world.

Although, in truth, this title of the deepest pool in the world may not be the same. Everything depends on the completion dates of two investments. The first is the Mszczonów swimming pool, and the second is the Blue Abyss, which is being built on the outskirts of London and will offer visitors a depth of 50 metres.

The completion and commissioning of both facilities is scheduled for next year. If everything goes according to plan, then already in autumn 2019, we will be able to enjoy the charms of this facility, and Poland will once again strongly emphasise its strong position on the diving and freediving map of Europe.
