The members of the team preparing for the attempt to break the record (318.25m) in the deepest dive, held by Nuno Gomes for 6 years, are back in Egypt. It is in Dahab that the final act of this spectacle, which the diving world is following with great attention, will take place.

On Saturday 25 June, the participants Project335landed back in Egypt, and with them almost a ton diving equipmentwhich is being used in the preparations! Five people, and with them equipment spread over 32 bags and boxes, which required 11 trolleys to transport!

The main actor, Dariusz “Miodzio” Wilamowski, has started training with the configuration in which he will attempt to break Nuno Gomes’ record. It consists of a double set of 2x20l 250bar cylinders, a 12l 300bar inflation cylinder and a 6 stage cylinders 20l 250bar, the rest of the gases needed will be deposited at a depth of 240m.

There is still a month to go before the trial date is set. The dive is scheduled to take place between 4 and 14 August 2011. The participants will be supported on site by Project355 2deep is supporting the participants on site and it is from their boat that the final act will start.

Earlier, Dariusz Wilamowski, along with his team, was in Poland where he conducted training on Lake Hancza. These were not record depths compared to the dives that “Miodzio” has already done, but the specific conditions of the Polish basin were very helpful in preparation.
