For over 5 months, the competition for best diving job in the worldabout which we informed you already at the beginning of the year. Everything is now clear and we know who the winner of one of the most amazing competitions in the history of the diving industry is. The lucky winner was Kenzo Kiren from Canada. In the event, which has already proven to be a marketing success, Kenzo received 230 votes.
Surely many of you are curious as to what exactly constitutes a prize in this unseasonal competition? Those with a weak heart should sit up, because the prize list is very long and very interesting.
Let’s start with a 7-month stay in one of the most beautiful places in Indonesia – Bali. There he will have the opportunity to train at one of the best PADI IDC centres, where he will go from diving zero to hero, passing one PADI organization course after another, including: Open Water Course, Advanced Open Water Course, Rescue Diver, Emergency First Response – Care for Children, Emergency First Responses – Instructor Course, and Master Scuba Diver, which will consist of: PADI Project AWARE Specialty Course, Coral Reef Conservation Specialty Course, Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty Course, Naturalist Specialty Course, Fish ID Specialty Course, Divemaster Course, IDC Preparation Course, Padi Instructor Development Course, Mock Instructor Exams, Instructor Exams, Master Scuba Diver Trainer prep course (5 instructor specializations), plus all materials and fees are an integral part of the award.
As if that wasn’t enough and someone wasn’t already green with envy, the additional prizes are: A high quality set of dive equipment worth $1500, all PADI certifications and exam fees totaling $1800 and another $1500 in materials required to become a PADI instructor. He will also attend the Blue Season Bali Divemaster seminar, the Positive Sales Approach workshop, the Correct Use of Compressor and Dive Cylinders workshop and another on dive equipment repair.
7 months of free diving worth approximately $16,000 including a minimum of 300 logged dives, dive insurance for the entire duration of your stay, free internet at your accommodation which is also prepaid, flights to and from Bali, visa costs and paperwork, food and drinks on all days when diving will take place.
Well I congratulate Kenzo and wish him a successful adventure, which does not change the fact that while writing this article I felt bad, worse with each sentence. Yes I envy him and every normal diver should too, because the guy is in for the adventure of a lifetime… gratis.
We can only wait for the next edition of the competition. We have to approach it differently than we did when we informed you about it in February. You have to act and make your dreams come true!
