Carolina Schrappe – amazing freediver and world multi-champion – Diving Talks speakers

Over the course of her competitive career, Carolina has participated in many freediving tournaments with significant success. Her hard work in training and dedication has resulted in as many as 13 South American records! One of her best performances is undoubtedly the 70-metre dive in the Free Immersion competition – FIM.

Wanting to put her vast experience to good use, she became a freediving instructor in 2009. In this way she was able to start passing on her knowledge and skills and contribute to the further development of the discipline and new athletes.

Carolina Schrappe has been linked with the water and diving for the last 23 years. During this time, in addition to her competitive career as a freediver and instructor, she has also developed as a scuba diver. Wanting to explore the underwater world, she obtained trimix and cave diving qualifications, which allowed her to log several dives below a depth of 100 metres.

She is also a Physiotherapist, having graduated from Pontifical Catholic University in 2001, and a Technician of Medical Emergencies from Tuiuti University in 1999. In addition to her diving accomplishments, she is a Taekwondo Pan American champion, purple belt (2007), and has been a Diving Instructor since 2002 by several international agencies, including NAUI, PDIC, IANTD, PADI, and PFI.
