Where to dive in the Canary Islands?

More and more people are interested in diving. No wonder, it’s a great way to spend free time actively – after a few days of lounging on the beach we surely want something more! Diving is not just a sport – you can also admire exotic species of plants and animals, and see the world from a completely new perspective. The Canary Islands offer incredible opportunities for divers, and both experienced divers and families with children will find suitable options.

In a world of caves and caverns

The Canary Islands are known for their numerous caves and caverns, which are an additional tourist attraction. In Tenerife you can experience the adventure of a lifetime by choosing underground mountaineering – excitement guaranteed! However, if we want to combine visiting mysterious caves with diving, we will have plenty of opportunities to do so! In Gran Canaria we can dive in caves at very accessible depths. Surrounded by arches and beautiful caves, we can also dive on the island of La Palma and many others in the archipelago.

Underwater attractions

If you’re not yet convinced about diving in the Canary Islands, it’s worth adding that this area is distinguished by the great variety of underwater flora and fauna. There aren’t many places in the world where you can see so many species of fish and incredible plants – such a sight is truly breathtaking and guarantees extraordinary memories. On the unique island of Lanzarote you will find excellent diving areas, where you can admire shipwrecks. Some of these have been deliberately sunk with tourists in mind, which clearly shows that they are more than welcome there.

How to organise a dive in the Canary Islands?

If we want to go on a trip organised by a travel agency, we should have no problem with this. The Canary Islands are such a popular destination for this type of trip that we can easily find the most suitable option. The best option is to go there out of the holiday season, or look for a cheaper last minute offer. It is enough that we type in a search engine the phrase “Tenerife last minute“, and we will already have a lot of proposals. It is also a good idea to look through the offers of offices dealing strictly with the diving – certainly in such a place you will find competent people who will give us a lot of practical advice.
