We are pleased to announce that Divers24 has become a patron of a very interesting event, which will be scheduled for spring 2014. Free Frog Scuba Diving Film Festival. The event is organised on the basis of amateur films from the underwater depths, so if you have something you would like to share with a wider audience, now is your chance!
The whole event is scheduled for 05.04.2014. Until then, we will be posting information on our website about the preparations for the festival. You will be able to read about any significant changes, should they occur, and read a report from the festival itself on Divers24. For all those who would like to try their hand at it, we would like to remind you that there are only 4 months left to submit your entries!
And this is how the event is invited by its organisers:
“The idea is simple. To share. To share what not everyone can experience. We invite all the brave to show what they have experienced by diving, to show what they have witnessed underwater .
Tell us the story of your passion for exploring the unknown, perhaps we will encourage others, perhaps there will be more of us.
It is true, we are not a diving paradise. We do not have clear, warm waters. We do not have a coral reef with a million colourful fish. Nor will we meet the White Shark in our waters or penetrate the wreck of a Spanish galleon. Besides, making a film is not easy either.
All this is true. We know all this, but there are positively twisted dreamers in front of whom there are no barriers.
We will be pleased to receive colourful underwater photos masterfully edited to original music. We will be waiting with bated breath for films about the symbiosis between man and underwater nature, about work which is unique because it is hidden under the water, about records which only a few can boast of, about the expedition of a lifetime which, instead of being kept only for a grandchild, you will tell us about.
It doesn’t matter to us whether you dive in the Red Sea or off the coast of Australia, in the Masuria or in the volcanic lakes of the high Andes. Maybe you have seen the depressing emptiness of the bottom of the Baltic Sea or an oil rig from below. You made a film. Your friends have seen it. Now show it to us. Share it with those who may never be there. Let them see it too, thanks to you!”
The festival is organised by the “Oxygen” Underwater Support Group Association, the Cultural Centre in Grodzisk Mazowiecki and the Scubadiving.pl Diver Training Centre.
More information can be found on the organiser’s website.
