If you are thinking about making a serious investment in dive lighting, it is worth examining carefully the options that the market offers. In addition to products from the most popular brands such as: Halcyon, Yellowdiving, Sea Monster, Ammonite or Gral Marine, there are some interesting new torches, among them the Strykr SL and Strykr 1800 by Watershot.

What strikes you right from the start is the interesting and modern design of the lighting and its rather unusual construction. However, let’s not be fooled by appearances, both models are not toys, but specific lighting in a compact package.

Both the Strykr SL and the Strykr 1800 are available in two versions. We have divided them into recreational and technical versions. All because of the depth limits, which are up to 40m or 150m.

d1800

The models intended for recreational diving offer us light output at the level of 900 lumens, whereas the technical ones shine twice as strong, providing light output of 1800 lumens. We can use them in 4 modes – strong, medium economic and strobe.

Lithium-ion rechargeable batteries are used as the source, which we regenerate using the charger included in the set. During the dive, the battery can be placed on our cylinder using a special strap. Apart from the SL model dedicated to recreational limits, where in particular modes we get the operating time respectively – 1.5h (strong), 3h (medium) 6h (economical) and 15h (strobe), the battery is sufficient, depending on the profile, for 3h (strong), 6h (medium) 12h (economic) and 30h (strobe).

For stress-free diving, the battery charge level is visible on each burner, which through its colour tells us how much time is left until the next charge.
