VII Edition of the Diving Fair "Podwodna Przygoda" - announcement

On 1-3 April the 7th edition of the legendary diving event known as “Underwater Adventure” will take place. During the weekend, the Warsaw EXPO XXI halls will turn into the capital of Polish diving. During the previous editions, the event attracted a huge number of visitors, as well as exhibitors and created a unique atmosphere, which, despite the change of location, the organisers managed to maintain. Those who have been to at least one of the past editions do not need much persuading to come here again, and for those who still have their debut ahead of them, we present a little information.

As of today, almost all available stands have already been sold out. We can therefore be sure, that there will be plenty of novelties and interesting facts about the equipment (and not only). In addition to representatives and manufacturers of diving equipment, there will also be representatives of many diving federations and organisations, the Institute of Underwater Archaeology of the University of Warsaw, diving centres from Poland and the world, as well as representatives of the media and the tourism industry.

An inseparable part of every Underwater Adventure Diving Fair is Nurgres. This year, we will have a diverse range of topics in which everyone, regardless of their tastes and level of diving proficiency, should find something for themselves. Among the invited speakers will be: Marcin Dąbrowski – “Diving computers”, Marcin Dobas – “Secrets of the work of a National Geographic photographer”. Marcin Jurasz will present his record “The deepest laid Rubik’s cube”, about which you could already read in our website, because the whole action was covered by D24. Very timely will be the meeting with the Nevado Tres Cruces 2015 MedExpedition team, whose last year’s record was recently broken by Marcel Korkuś. Fans of wreck diving and history are sure to be attracted by Tomasz Stachura’s lecture “Ubooty of the Polish coast”, while another figure well known to all – Krzysztof Starnawski – will present his 2015/16 explorations in two lectures.

Of course, this is only a small part of what has been prepared for the participants of this year’s Nurgres. The full list with topics, times and speakers is available on the homepage of the fair.

Tickets can easily be purchased online and this is the solution the organiser encourages. It will allow for smooth and efficient arrival of the next guests to the EXPO XXI halls. An interesting fact is that the first 500 certified divers will pay for the ticket the price of… 10 PLN, which is the same as the entrance fee during the first edition of the tags!
