Underwater Adventure Fair 2018 is behind us - report

This year’s 9th edition of the Podwodna Przygoda diving fair went down in history. It is always nice to meet among friends, renew contacts, complete missing equipment, listen to interesting presentations, learn something new, or finally meet new people.

The fair has been slimmed down, because from 3 days last year, this year we had 2 and that was enough. My impression, also after a number of talks with exhibitors, is that this year’s edition attracted fewer companies and fewer visitors. Yes, there were queues to the cash desk and our part of the hall was crowded at times, but this was more of a “crowd” effect caused by the close proximity of the exhibitors on the opposite side of the aisle.

Several of the market’s leading brands were missing, but those present at the fair were very well attended.

Nurgres took place on the first and second floors in several rooms at the same time, which, as it happens in such cases, put us in a dilemma of choice. From the stories of the participants, it was clear that this year’s presentations were of a high standard and attracted a lot of interest and even, in some cases, a great deal of interest.

Divers24’s stand this year was located at the end of our part of the hall, in a poorly lit corner, but in great company with Nurkowa Polska on one side and Nurkuj.pl on the other.

Issue 4 of Divers24 Magazine, which was available to buy at the fair, has finally seen the light of day. Issues 2 and 3 were also very popular, and many enquiries about the possibility of buying issue 1, which pleasantly surprises us every time, fell on deaf ears because the print run had long since been exhausted. In a moment the next Wiatr i Woda Fair will take place, also in EXPO XXI. Personally, I think, and I think that many people are of the same opinion, that in Poland there should be one fair event, uniting all the companies under one roof, at one time. This will only do good to the entire diving community and will allow with redoubled strength to go out, reaching out to those seeking their passion, and loving water sports.
