At the turn of autumn and winter there is a period in the year, when the diving community has the opportunity to socialise during many cyclical events, fairs and conferences. Each of these events has its own distinct character and atmosphere, which from year to year attracts many people. One of the flagship events is the Wreck Festival in Lodz.

Piotr Wytykowski and Roman Zajder cite lack of time as the main reason for their decision. It takes too much time to prepare such an event of an ever-increasing level and attendance. When you finish one edition, you practically have to start preparing for the next one right away.

The decision for a two-year system therefore seems natural. Thanks to this, each subsequent edition will be able to be prepared in a thoughtful and reliable manner so as to continue to surprise visitors.

It is also important that both men are planning two major expeditions in the next year as part of the “Wreck Expeditions” project and, as they themselves say, they would not be able to reconcile all this so that one of the projects does not suffer.

Finally, a few words from “General” and “Romano”, which they decided to address to the regulars of the Lodz festival:

“We apologise to all festival lovers for this change and hope that it will not negatively affect your interest in the event. We cordially invite you to the 5th edition, which will take place in February 2015.”
