“Into The Planet” by the wonderful woman and fantastic diver Jill Heinerth, is a position with which every diver should familiarize himself. Regardless of your certification or level of advancement in your diving career, you’ll find the content inside to fascinate and absorb you completely.
From the first pages we set off on a wonderful journey with Jill, and who wouldn’t want to be carried away on an adventure in the company of one of the pioneers of cave diving and exploration? The author reveals to us fragments of her life, those known and those previously kept secret. Together we participate in subsequent expeditions into the depths of our extraordinary planet.
However, “Into The Planet” is not just about glamour and a path strewn with roses. We get a full cross-section of the glitters and shadows associated with being a pioneer who wants to pursue her passions and dreams. Jill Heinerth shares everything in a very open way. Even the difficult things. She makes us aware of how many hard decisions she had to make and what she sacrificed in order to take the first steps on her chosen life path, wanting to enter the not so numerous group of explorers of flooded caves.
What accompanies us on every single page of the book is the author’s passion. Enormous, almost limitless, and burning with a fire that nothing seems to be able to extinguish. It is precisely by something like this that you can recognise true dreamers, who have had the courage and found a way to set out to make their dreams come true and dedicate their lives to them.
More people have walked on the moon than have been to the places on Earth explored by Jill Heinerth. The story of this extraordinary woman spans 30 years of filming and photographing while participating in countless scientific research expeditions in flooded caves around the world. A mass of projects and ventures carried out together with National Geographic and numerous television stations, as well as scientific institutions. For her extraordinary achievements Jill has been accepted into the elite group of explorers of The Explorers Club, the National Speleological Society and the Women Divers Hall of Fame.
*The book is currently only available in English. However, it is written in a very accessible way and anyone with an intermediate knowledge of English will certainly understand it without difficulty. In addition, the book is accompanied by a set of fantastic photographs, which will certainly add colour to the reading and fire the imagination of the reader.
