Shearwater Cloud application available in open beta

The Shearwater Cloud, which has been announced for some time, is now available in open beta, as the Canadian manufacturer of the popular Shearwater dive computers has announced via its website. The app will allow Shearwater users to connect their mobile devices and share information with each other.

Shearwater Cloud allows you to view and edit your logged dives. It also allows you to describe them in much more detail than Shearwater Desktop, as well as adding photos to perfectly complement the dive description and the location itself.

The application also has the possibility to update the software in our unit and, for example, change the language of the menu of our dive computer. This is to solve, among other things, a problem reported by some users who had difficulty connecting to Shearwater Desktop from devices using the Windows 7 operating system.

The app is currently available for iOS and Android devices and is compatible with the Perdix AI, Perdix and Petrel 2 units. A version for Mac and Windows users is expected to be released in the near future, which will also allow the Petrel 1, Predator, and NERD units to connect to Shearwater Cloud.

The app is available on both the Google Play Store and the iOS App Store. It can be downloaded using the links on the Shearwater website or directly from your devices via your chosen shop.

Since it is an open beta version, there will certainly still appear various bugs and inconveniences. Nevertheless, the producer encourages you to use the application and, if you encounter any, to report them in order to eliminate them as soon as possible, which will obviously accelerate the launch of the final version.
