Have you ever wondered what the ocean floor would look like if we took away all the water? It’s no secret that throughout history, the Earth’s appearance has been (and continues to be) constantly transformed. What the planet once hid under water, today we admire as, for example, the Grand Canyon. It is no different with the largest desert in the world – the Sahara. It, too, was once hidden among the depths.

The computer animation below shows what we would see if all the water that makes up today’s seas and oceans evaporated. See what an amazing landscape would be created by such events. It is also a great opportunity to see how varied and diverse the seabed is today, hidden beneath masses of blue water.
