Polish photographer Rafał Makieła took 3rd place in the prestigious World Photoshootout 2021 underwater photography competition.

Rafał has been specialising in underwater modelling sessions for many years. That’s why in the World Shootout 2021 he competed in the UW Fashion category. People closely following his diving profiles on the net have surely come across his beautiful works more than once. Recently, his cooperation with a well-known singer Justyna Steczckowska has received a lot of publicity.

In this year’s edition of the competition, in the category UW FashionMakiela was followed on the podium by two photographers from Germany – Konstantin Killer in first place and Thomas Heckmann in second place.

It is undoubtedly worth mentioning that all the prize-winning works from a given year are collected together in the form of an album. The publication is available both as digitaland paper. The whole thing is not only a souvenir for the awarded participants, but also an idea for a great gift for photography lovers.

World Shootout is a prestigious and well established underwater photography competition. For sixteen years now, artists from all over the world have been competing against each other in many categories. During this time, as many as 804 winners have been selected and prizes worth $1 million have been awarded!
