W underwater sculpture museum n Mexico, Greenpeace activists organised a protest to draw the world’s attention to climate change.
The venue for the protest was chosen deliberately as a UN conference on global warming was being held in Cancun at the same time.
“We want to draw the world’s attention to the fact that this could really happen. 100 million people, live in areas at risk of flooding if sea levels rise. Their fate is at stake here in Cancun. The right choice must be made to protect nature.” Brandy Bredeson said.
Activists and students from China, the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, the US, Vietnam and the Philippines took part in the underwater protest.
