New – First products for divers in off-line sales

Increasingly, small dive shops are losing the battle for customers to online internet sales. This is because online shops reduce their margins to the minimum level. Such actions force regular shops to lower their margins, and it should be remembered that “stationary” retailers not only deliver the product, but also advise, help to choose the right size, and support the possible warranty process and service. Today, Cressi comes up against such actions. This well-known manufacturer has prepared a line of products, which will be available only in off-line sales (outside internet sales). However, these are the latest products. This programme is called Cressi Atelier and will be further developed. In Atelier we will find, among other things, the new Desert dry suit with bag and insulator, 5 mm Comfort wetsuit, two new BCs: Commander and Carbon, or for example the T10 Galaxy automatic (EN250:2014). In the near future, new 3rd generation dive computers will be added to the programme, as well as masks and fins.

New wetsuits available at Cressi Atelier

Dry suit Deasert is designed for diving in extremely cold waters. It was made of high quality 4 mm crash neoprene with increased density. The seams and their bonding have been flooded with a suitable polymer in the “Liquid Seal” sealing technology.

The orifice and cuffs are made of neoprene with a special elastomer coating. Thanks to this treatment, we obtain better adhesion to the skin. At the chest, arms, elbows and knees, the suit has been additionally reinforced with the X Diamond Pad (increased cut resistance). The sled addition valve can be rotated through 360 degrees, and the bleed valve is adjustable.

On the right side at thigh height, large pocket with internal clip and YKK zipper.

Traditionally the Desert wetsuit uses neoprene socks and braces. It comes complete with a wetsuit bag, inflation hose and hood. Desert is available in women’s versions, sizes XS to XL/5 and men’s sizes up to XXXL/7. Additionally, the suit is equipped with LUX neoprene booties and a 259 g/m2 insulating layer.

DesertLady_3-4 Comfort 5 mm On the one hand, it is a return to the well-known and highly appreciated cut of the wetsuit, but at the same time it is configured with top-quality neoprene with an Elastic Span outer shell and Elastic Plush inner shell. This interesting combination gave an additional possibility, namely the fit despite the differences between the size and silhouette of the user. Our Comfort 5mm comes with a YKK watertight zipper on the back and Diamond Pad reinforcements on the knees, and there is a hook on the suit for hanging the hood. Available in black with white trim. (Optional padding with a thickness of 3.5 or 5 mm can be purchased). EN14225-1C approved wetsuit.

BC Commander is a recreational wing for single cylinder. The design was based on popular Back Jack. Commander has been slimmed down by replacing the backplate with a lighter one, resulting in a weight of 3,30 kg (L size), while keeping the same buoyancy of 23 kg/225N. The bag is made from 420 denier nylon. It features rubber pullers for adjusting inflation and faster deflation. Commander_Sx

The wing contains a special Flat Lock Aid system to prevent accidental release of the weight (integrated with other Cressi BCs).

There are four D-rings with a diameter of 50 mm at shoulder height, and four smaller D-rings with a diameter of 25 mm at waist belt height. The wing is equipped with two side pockets with zips and additional weight pockets which can be attached to the back of the Commnder. Moreover, it contains three dump valves and an efficient and ergonomic inflator. The new generation valve at arm’s length has been reduced to a minimum, which prevents or at least reduces to a minimum any possible catching during crossing obstacles (e.g. nets). Available colour: black.

Another jacket BC Carbon in a traditional buoyancy waistcoat layout is dedicated to a single cylinder. The Carbon has been slimmed down by changing the backplate to a lighter weight, resulting in a weight of 3.30 kg (for size L). The displacement of 16.5 kg has been maintained and the bag is made of 420 denier nylon. The jacket contains a special Flat Lock Aid system to prevent accidental release of the weight (integrated in other Cressi BCs). At the height of the shoulders there are four D-rings with a diameter of 50 mm. BC Carbon is equipped with two side pockets with zippers and additional weight pockets, which can be attached to the back of the jacket. Moreover, it contains three dump valves and an efficient and ergonomic inflator. The new generation valve at the shoulder height has been reduced to a minimum, which prevents or at least reduces to a minimum any possible catching when passing obstacles (e.g. nets). Available colour: black.

cressi automat

In the automat T10 Galaxy Galaxy uses a modified 2nd stage. It has a profiled cap to minimise possible excitation when the diver swims against the current.
The tab has been constructed from two materials of different hardnesses. In the case of the 1st stage, the dry cell was abandoned. Based on the test results in the machines intended for EN250:2014 testing, no differences in cold water resistance (according to the standard applicable in EU countries) were noticed. The weight of the 1st stage is 540 grams and the 2nd stage is 182 grams, ( with hose 875 grams). The 1st stage has 2 HP ports and 4 MP ports, with an average respiratory rate of 0.6J/l. Structurally it is identical to the T10SC automatic, however instead of PVD coating it has been finished in satin matt chrome.
