If you have ever wondered how to instil underwater passion among children in an interesting way, we have the perfect idea for you! The Museum of Technology in Warsaw is extending the ‘Secrets of the Underwater World’ exhibition until 20 October. An hour-long expedition into the depths of the attraction awaits the participants, covering four different thematic stations.

The whole undertaking is dedicated to children aged 4-12. The educational presentations used to create the exhibition are based on multimedia materials of the English BBC, famous for its popular science films. In the past, probably everyone was excited by the narration from the farthest corners of the Earth, led by Sir David Attenborough.

On the exhibition homepage we can read:

“Visitors will travel for 45 minutes to a mysterious and entertaining underwater world where, dressed as divers, they will discover three realms: a coral reef teeming with rich life, the dark recesses of the ocean depths and the mysteries of the royal ship Mary Rose.”

Subsequent groups of participants set off on a 45min excursion every 30min. This should ensure a free flow of visitors and prevent the so-called “eggnog” phenomenon. During these three quarters of an hour you will see the wonderful life of coral reefs, explore the underwater depths and discover the secrets of the wreck of the royal sailing ship “Mary Rose”.

In order to feel the atmosphere of the exhibition, visitors to the museum start their journey in the bathyscaphe, where they change into special explorer’s outfits. In full gear, you can set off to meet the inhabitants of the coral reef and the ocean depths. From here it is only a step on board the sailing ship “Mary Rose”, which lay at the bottom in 1545. With torches in hand, you are sure to find something worthwhile. The whole event ends with a quiz to consolidate the newly acquired information and the awarding of the diploma of “Explorer of the Secrets of the Underwater World”.
