At the ongoing CMAS Freediving World Championships in Turkey, we are witnessing an extremely exciting competition, leading to many great results and setting new world records!

At the competition in Kaş, Turkey, Alexey Molchanov was the first to enter the list of new world record holders. The Russian is in great shape and first, in the CWT, he reached 123 metres, which won him a gold medal and allowed him to set a new world record, and then in the Free Immersion – FIM competition, he again gave no chance to his rivals, reaching the depth of 116 metres, which translated into a second gold medal and another world record!

The women’s competition in the constant weight without fins – CNF – was extremely exciting. Phenomenal Italian Alessia Zecchini and Ukrainian Natalia Zharkova fought a great duel and both achieved the result of 70 meters! The ladies received gold medals and now share the world record in this competition.

The Ukrainian added to her achievements with a great performance in the CWT BF fixed-weights competition and with a result of 89 metres, she won her second gold medal of these championships and set another world record.
