Poland’s leading freediver Mateusz Malina, won the gold medal at the CMAS Freediving World Championships held in Turkey. The Pole was the best in the discipline with fixed weight without fins – CNF, reaching the depth of 78 meters. It is our representative’s first gold medal in the depth discipline. So far, he has triumphed in pool competitions.

Italy’s Michele Guirgola won the silver medal with a score of 76 metres, while Frenchman Remy Dubern was third with a dive of 75 metres.

It is worth mentioning that Mateusz has had a fantastic season, during which he has already become the world champion in the dynamic swimming without fins – DNF, during the pool World Championships held in Belgrade. In his achievements, the Pole holds two world records in pool competitions DNF – 244 metres and DYN – 300 metres.

79 athletes from 28 countries are competing at the CMAS 3rd Free Diving Outdoor World Championship. The championship is being held in Kaş, Turkey, in the province of Antalya on the Mediterranean Sea.
