On Sunday, 10 April, Magdalena Solich-Talanda set a new DYN world record of 277m during a freediving competition in the Czech Republic.
Recent weeks have been a great success story for Polish freedivers, crowned with world records. After Mateusz Malina i Julia Kozerska Magdalena Solich-Talanda showed off her excellent form. With her 277 m, the athlete from Bielsko-Biała set a new World Record in Dynamic Apnea With Fins – DYN.
Thus, the Pole broke the recent record of Mirela Kardasevic, who on 3 April achieved a distance of 272 m. The year of freediving starts just beginning, but fans of the discipline are already rubbing their hands. After the last years, when a lot of events were cancelled, it looks like we will witness a lot of exciting rivalries.
Especially that soon, between 10-16 June, CMAS World Championships will be held in Belgrade. Polish competitors have shown that they are in great shape, but it was certainly not their last word. Nevertheless, after such a fantastic performance of the top Polish representatives, the appetites of all freediving enthusiasts have increased significantly.
Let’s hope our athletes will be lucky in the Serbian capital, because we can rest assured about their skills supported by hard work during trainings.
