JET Flippers – OMS Slipstream

If you’re looking for a new pair of Jet fins, the Slipstream model from Ocean Management Systems is definitely worth a look. On the surface they don’t stand out as anything special, but as is often the case – the devil is in the detail.

Although the OMS Slipstream has a classic design, very characteristic for this type of fins and on the surface they do not stand out as anything special. However, as opposed to competing products, they are made of monoprene resin, which translates quite strongly into diving comfort.

Although this material looks and has similar properties to rubber, it is much lighter than it, which makes it easier for the user to maintain the correct position and achieve better performance with identical use of force. And this, of course, simply makes us tire much less during the dive. At least because of the weight of the fins.

The whole thing sounds a bit like a marketing slogan? Probably so, but the US Navy was impressed. Of course, the performance of their soldiers, not the slogan. During the tests it turned out, among other things, that the time needed to cover a distance of 500 metres was one minute shorter than in the fins used so far. We must admit that this is quite a big difference for such a short distance.

OMS fins have springs fitted as standard and are available in 4 sizes – M, L, XL and XXL and 4 colours – black, blue, red and yellow.

Weight: 2.4 kg (XL size)
Price: 500 PLN
