On 26 May 2012, the 2nd Firefighters’ Campaign to Clean the bottom of the Krutynia River will be launched. The organisers are the Mayor of the town and municipality of Ruciane-Nida, the Water and Diving Group operating at the Voluntary Fire Brigade in Ruciane-Nida, and the MazuryDiving School Piotr Przystawik.

“This year we are going to clean two sections of the river, from Rosocha to Wojnowo and from Wojnowo to Ukta. All those willing are welcome to take part in our fun. Applications to take part in the canoeing rally will be accepted until the 26th of May 2012 at 10:30″ – say the organisers

Action plan :

9:00 – Gathering and registration of divers on the village beach in Ukta (12-220 Ruciane-Nida, Ukta)

10:45 – Discussion of the route, medical and technical protection of the rafting trip.

11:00 – Departure by coach to the bridge in Wojnowo and Rososha.

11:40 – Issue of litter bags and entry into the water.

15:30 – The end of the Krutynia River clean-up action, drawing of prizes among participants.

16:00 – Refreshments and a social event on the village beach in Ukta.

Rules of participation in Rafting:

Every adult person able to swim can be a participant of canoeing rally. Each participant of canoeing rally confirms in written form that he has no health contraindications to take part in canoeing. Every participant takes part in canoeing rally at his own responsibility.

Condition of taking part in canoeing rally is written confirmation of participant about getting acquainted with the content of regulations of the event and acceptance of its conditions, placed on the event registration card. Alcohol consumption is strictly prohibited on the canoeing route.

Each participant may at any time interrupt the route by notifying the person responsible for the canoeing section.

Costume and equipment of the rafting participant:

The participant may wear any type of diving suit which allows to maintain thermal protection in the water. The participant may wear any number of elements of the suit, as well as any number of accessories such as gloves, socks and others.
