As it usually happens with Krzysztof Starnawski’s dives, the record is only an addition to the exploration. During the implementation of the most important objectives set before the dive, we managed to discover a passage located at a depth of 240m and leading to a new part of the cave.

Starnaś is expected to return to Hranicka Propast in September. The results of his latest dive give us great hope that the Czech cave will soon become the deepest flooded cave in the world! As the record holder himself reports on his Facebook profile:

“Everything we wanted to prepare for the next steps of the Step beyond 400 m project has been achieved(…)We are tired but happy”

Now Poland’s most famous cave diver is on his way to Bosnia, where he will take part in a meeting of cave rescue services.

The previous record of 239 metres also belonged to Starnawski. It was set a few weeks earlier in Albania’s Viroit cave.
