Hollis F1 LT fins – modern and efficient

The American manufacturer has already got us used to the fact that the equipment signed with Hollis logo is characterised by very well-thought-out construction, high quality of workmanship and interesting design. It is no different in the case of the flagship model of the F1 LT fins which, both at first and second glance, are a very interesting alternative to the competition.

The F1 LT fins were created with a slightly shorter blade, specifically for exploring tight spaces such as wreck interiors and caves. In these environments, every movement is important and must be considered. That is why the right construction and efficiency of the fin are crucial here. However, this does not change the fact that they also perform well during a number of other dives.

This extremely interesting model offers us everything we would expect from good fins. The whole gives the impression of being very solidly made, and there is no denying that our gaze is caught by its very pleasant and modern aesthetics.

F1 LT performs perfectly in tight spaces

Fins, however, are not for looking at, but to give us the most efficient propulsion underwater, with the least possible effort. Hollis do quite well in this aspect, if not very well. Undoubtedly, apart from the construction itself, the use of modern materials is equally important here.

Specifically, the extremely lightweight SEBS compound (styrene-ethylene/butylene-styrene copolymers), the use of which has allowed us to reduce the weight of the fin, and thus translates into less effort put into moving while diving. Contrary to appearances, it is such details that influence the comfort, quality and time of our dives.
