For the fourth time we clean for Gdynia

13 October 2012 saw the start of the fourth edition of the campaign called Eco Diving Day organised by the Diving and Active Tourism Centre – Ticada and the Gdynia Sport and Recreation Centre. Its aim, as every year, is primarily to engage the diving community in cleaning underwater areas: Gdynia Marina, the Presidential Quay

“We want the event to attract more than just divers, so it will be accompanied by a festival with attractions for children. Many companies, not only diving companies, will present their stands on the day.”

Participation of divers in the action is free of charge. Thanks to many sponsors we provide the participants with a hot meal, drinks, changing rooms, occasional T-shirts and, most importantly, drawing of attractive prizes.

The idea came from Sebastian Borek from TICADA Diving Centre and Piotr Bielski from Gdynia Marina. The safety of divers will be ensured by paramedics, WOPR lifeguards and chronometrists. Honorary patronage is held by the President of Gdynia Wojciech Szczurek.
