First firefighters' action to clean up the Krutynia River

First firefighters’ action to clean up the Krutynia River

On 24 September 2011, there will be an action of cleaning the Krutynia River, initiated by the local unit of the Voluntary Fire Brigade from Ruciane-Nida.

The whole undertaking will take the form of a sightseeing rafting trip, combined with free diving and cleaning the river bed along a designated section. The organisers of this event are: The mayor of Ruciane-Nida town and municipality, the Water and Diving Group operating at the TSO in Ruciane-Nida and the diving school MazuryDiving.pl

The meeting and registration of participants will take place at the TSO fire station in Ruciane-Nida. At 9.00 participants, after registration, will be taken to the starting point of the canoeing rally, which is located in Wojnowo village.

Applications by e-mail or telephone will be accepted until 17 September 2011. Those who have not signed up by this date will have a chance to register on the day of the start; the earlier date is given in order to estimate the approximate number of participants and to prepare the logistical background.
