Fatal accident at the swimming pool in Wolomin

Last Thursday, 25 February, there was a fatal accident at a swimming pool in Wolomin in which a 25-year-old man who was practising breath-hold diving died.

Descriptions of the whole incident are quite sparse in information. What emerges from some of them is a picture in which a 25-year-old man came to the pool to practice apnea diving. He was to inform a lifeguard, who was watching the young man’s actions, of his intentions.

At one point, when the 25-year-old was at the bottom of the pool, the lifeguard realised something was wrong. He immediately rushed to the man’s aid and brought him unconscious to the surface.

The emergency services were called to the scene and immediately began resuscitation and the fight for the boy’s life. He was soon transported to hospital, but unfortunately doctors were unable to save him.

The police also arrived at the scene and are investigating the cause of the incident. At the moment it is not known why the man lost consciousness.
