In Jaworzno, in addition to representatives of almost all manufacturers of equipment whose products are available in Poland, came in unusually large numbers divers from all over the country, and even guests from abroad! Therefore, we could not miss it, because missing the most important diving event of the year should be considered a serious faux pas.
Increased excavator traffic began as early as Friday 25 September. Exhibitors came one by one to set up some of their equipment and get an idea of the situation on and under the water. For some of the visitors, this was their first visit to the excavators, so there was no need to miss the buoy reconnaissance and a few reconnaissance dives.
Saturday was already the diving crème de la crème. Although the weather was not good and we started the day with gusty winds and heavy rain, the unfavourable aura did not spoil the diving fraternity.
The staff at the stands filled with equipment could not complain about a lack of work. The exhibitors’ area was constantly crowded with visitors who wanted to learn more about the equipment they were interested in and also to take the opportunity to check everything under water.
Our stand could not complain about a lack of visitors either, and the refreshments consisting of good beer and This1 energy bars were melting in our eyes, and new people were appearing at the tent every now and then. After all, it is a well-known fact that the most effective way to get the word out is via Advertisement .
We were very pleased that literally everyone knew our portal and magazine, and apart from quite a large group of paper subscribers, there was also a large group of people reading the electronic edition of the DIVERS24 Magazine, which is available for free on the Issuu platform.
The quarry itself was literally bursting at the seams and I would not be surprised if the water level rose slightly that day due to the number of people diving at the same time. This shows not only how successful the 2020 Dive Demo Days were, but also that this form of customer relationship is the most effective.
Sunday was much quieter and those who arrived at Koparki around 8.00 had the whole area to themselves. However, as the following hours passed, the Via Sport Diving Marina “Koparki” area became lively again. The event came to an end at around 2 p.m. when everyone slowly started to pack up for the return journey.
There is no denying that in the original spring date, the conditions could have been more favourable, but the event was successful and very successful. It was clear that people are thirsty for a similar event. Lots of conversations, old and new friends, great humour and a lot of laughter, all combined with diving. What more could you want?
