A well-known figure among technical and rebreather divers, Dave Gration has joined the Dive RAID International.
Following A change in the position of president of the organization, Dive RAID International has announced that a well-known and experienced figure will be joining their ranks. Indeed, there are few technical and rebreather divers who do not know who Dave Gration is. The new face in the RAID organization has a great reputation in the community, and has made a name for himself as an explorer and as an excellent instructor.
In the past, Dave has provided quality services to many training agencies. He has taught both open and closed circuit diving in open water and overhead environments. Now at Dive RAID International, he has joined the Training Advisory Group (TAG).
RAID for me is the perfect agency; able to adapt quickly to the new techniques and equipment we are seeing coming into diving. As their materials and courses are online, it’s very quick and easy to make changes that keep up with things as they progress– Gration said.
Dave Gration will continue to focus his teaching activities primarily in the UK and Malta. Under the Dive RAID UK banner, he will work with incumbents James Rogers and Toby van Poos.
I also feel that it’s important for the owners and board members of any diver training agency, to be out there actually teaching and diving. This for sure is the case with RAID and I’m lucky to have dived on many deep scientific dives and expeditions with them, and to be able to call them friends! – Gration added.
The new member of the organization was officially welcomed and complimented by PJ Prinsloo, Vice President of Training Dive RAID International.
Few have Dave’s experience and reputation for excellent and attention to detail. Having him teach for us at all levels is great news, but the real bonus is having him as a member of TAG which is going to help us develop new programs and help to manage quality assurance across the whole of RAID’s training network – Prinsloo said.
