Recently DIR Zone wings came into our hands. As part of our tests, we carried out a series of verification dives with them. As the Divers24 team is no stranger to risk in the name of a good cause, one of the dives was conducted on the difficult and dangerous Franken wreck.

The first thing which immediately strikes you when you decide to look for a DIR Zone brand bag suitable for your needs is the fact that, depending on the configuration in which you dive, there are many models available. Apart from the classic division into tyre-shaped and horseshoe-shaped ones, we have quite an extensive selection in terms of capacity.

At our disposal, the distributor offers 4 bags with different air capacity, both for single cylinders and for two-cylinder sets. This allows you to perfectly match the right product to your needs and create an optimal set.

Taking a closer look at the products we had a chance to test, we have to say that already at first glance they look solid, well-thought-out and well-made. The outer layer of the wing is made of Cordura 2000, while its inner part is made of Cordura 560 and a flexible polyurethane coating. Such a selection of materials makes it a very durable construction.

The diversity in terms of capacity and well-thought-out design, works superbly during the dive, as the bag fits evenly with the cylinders and does not protrude sideways. An interesting solution is also the possibility of modulating air admission. By gently pressing the inflator button, a small amount of air will get into the bag, whereas if you increase the pressure, the amount of gas pumped to the wing will also increase.

Our overall impressions are very positive. The whole thing looked very good and gave the impression of being solid and designed by people who understand the needs of divers. The only drawback that we noticed during our dives was a slightly short, corrugated inflator hose. The DIR Zone bags are certainly a very interesting alternative to other products available on the market.
